  • Ya'll see that gold '68 Vette in that movie at 2:14 and 3:35?

    That be my grandpa

And he kicked Big Willy's ass with that car when Big Willy had his wanna be Daytona

Gramma and Grampa and dad came home with some cash that night =D

  • cool

  • lol 75 80mph? come on now I thought they were the owners of the camaros and stuff.

  • He is talking about racing in the 50's and early 60's. National records then were in the 15's to 13's for street driven type cars. Top Fuel only went 9's and Funny Cars didn't even exist then.

  • Not to start up a rivalry on the page but why do muscle car ppl bash ricers. Mitsubishi motors have produced cars that stock make it to sixty in four seconds. On the other hand muscle cars have always been this fast but this kind competition its only cool when ppl don't take it too far. Like goofy vs regular skaters. I love the competition out in tennessee, I'm personally from long beach though, thats where this guy's ignition started. 1997 eclipse gs spyder.

  • ethel's right. Most cars now a days on the street are poseur, wanna-be tiny-engine Japanese cars and very few have decent power output figures. Then you hear stories about Ronald Lyles' (of the Mutt Bros.) '68 Hemi S/S Dart racing 'Super John' McFadden's '69 ZL-1 Camaro on the street back in '68, both 700-hp, and you realize when the truly fastest street races occurred. Most of today's street races are nothing but wreckless, unorganized attention-attracting parties.

  • I still have my old Pontiac & my time slips. An I'm ready to run when that track comes back. At the brotherhood raceway we always said. "Run what you brung" Let's get the track back.

  • Keep up the good fight Willy...

    Your a good man...
