This video expresses my belief that people should support their local gun shops if at all possible.

  • Guns sold by online sources are shipped to your local gun shop with an FFL for you to pick up. Your local gun shop get the sale no matter where it was shipped from. Wthout your local gun shop you could not buy a gun on line. I don't see how this hurts there sales it can only improve them.

  • @USARMY12B1 A $20 FFL fee does not replace the profit from the sales of a firearm or the accessories. It does not even come close.

  • You want to support your local dealer yet you don't mention them in your video? Dude! I mention my local dealer pretty regularly and because of those mentions he's sold quite a few firearms.

  • @Sturmgewehre You have seen my videos. Are you sure any dealer would want me mentioning them? Plus, I do not want people thinking I have any type of deal with my local dealer where my opinions might be biased.

  • @TheYankeeMarshal In all seriousness, I've not had that problem. Your honesty speaks for itself if you give honest reviews. I've mentioned my dealer several times and gotten some of my viewers hooked up with things they couldn't otherwise find. I always mention where I buy stuff, be that from my local dealer or an internet dealer. I've never been accused of being biased... but it has helped just about everyone I've mentioned in terms of sending them sales.

  • @Sturmgewehre Yes, but there is that perception that people who join with retailers are biased. When was the last time you ever saw a bad review in a gun magazine. Not that it matters in my case. My channel is so small and I stick mainly to the philosophy of guns than I do the mechanics. I would have no issue mentioning a dealer if I had their permission first.

  • @Sturmgewehre PS: My local dealer does not have any interest in internet or mail order sales. I have spoken to him about iit more than once. He has three local shops and is pretty old school.

  • Another thing to look at is in most states you don't have to pay sales tax online, some online dealers have layaway, free shipping and they are much cheaper than local gun shops. My last purchase I saved 103 dollars!I told the local gun shop I'd be happy to buy there if his prices were at least reasonable,He just laughed!Apparently He has enough business. We need to support them, but they need to to use a little common sense and help themselves!I'm not going to take a big hit financially for him!

  • @CTKTMRIDER How about my shirt? Is that distracting? Please say yes.

  • The missus and I *always* prefer to give our business to local / family / independent shops, be it for firearms, groceries, auto repairs, whatever. We're very fortunate to have a local gun shop (Maine-Tactical) that offers firearms, accessories, ammo, training and more importantly, great customer service. They take good care of their regular customers and the result is, as one might expect, customer loyalty. I've bought two new Sig's from them in the past month and saved hundreds!

  • Stop the BS.....wal-mart all the way....

  • One good thing about the S&W governor, it's enough to fill someones pants when they look down it.

  • i have bought a gun from a local gun shop who had to order from an internet gun store. i've purchased a gun online and it was sent to my local gun shop for me to pick up, so doesnt that help out the local gun shop in that way?

  • @TheYankeeMarshal I've had great expereince supporting my local shops. I bought a gun today and the guy threw in a hat, extra soft case, box of ammo, and an extra magazine. You don't get that when you buy off the internet.

  • My local stores are horrible.....they charge 1000 bucks for a wasr 10 or 700 for a beatup old sks with cheapo ati folding stock.....I'd rather buy a brand new gun from walmart. These pawn shop and local shops REALLY need to check their prices...no wonder they never sell anything. In my town too, they seem to be real jerks too in the shops.....I got my guns from local people through a website similar to craigslist

  • Iv tried purchasing my guns from gun stores around my town... They are very over priced, dont hold the brand im looking for, and most of all the store people are not very friendly and talk down guns Im interested in. The gun shop in my city work a lot with the local Police Force. And when they see a young guy like me, bring in a AR-15 to get sights put on. They look at me like Im a criminal or that I shouldn't have a gun. I believe in what you say a little bit.

  • I'll only support those shops who will support my rights. Open carry included.

  • @TheYankeeMarshal I respect your position but i've never paid less than 50 for a fee where I live.
