  • Hi, I own a rare all-maple solid made Gibson that features a set neck and a rosewood fretboard. I think those are the essential differences refering to your guitar. I estimate mine sonds too dark and seeing your demo I'd like to know your opinion about fitting TV Jones pups on it. However, I'd like to keep a high output level. Thanks.

  • @jp6l6 I would try Joe Barden two-tone humbuckers for your instrument. They're never too dark, high output plus you'll get more versatility from the "hum-free single coil mode".

  • Nice demo, sweet tone! Congrats!

I ve had a Custom Tele just like yours (also with 2 TVJ pups) for about three months now. Still in love with it! Mine now has an older Gretsch pup in the bridge, but other than that they're almost identical. Awesome axe! I like how it sounds slightly overdriven in the bridge position and the clean tone from the neck Power'Tron is way cool too.

  • awesome sound out of those pickups
