One day, Banpresto needs to make a SRW game ith both Sol Gravion and G Compatible Kaiser in it... and make some butt-kicking combination attack for both of them.
@Songofwyrd lol you read my comment wrong. it was a response to 2 comments, My own comment was "It's great that japan isn't full of jerks who get butt hurt over their designs being payed an homage to. (Starts watching srw the inspector)...huckebein? Huckebein!? HUCKEBEIN!!!" I was implying that the "same guy" you and I are commenting about was not a jerk like Sunrise or Yoshiyuki Tomino (Gundam).
@OtakuKaiser89 The reason there's been no lawsuit is due to the fact that the designer of Gravion is the same guy who was asked to re-design Compatible Kaiser for OGG. In short, he can't sue himself. :D
@FRSHOT You're talking about Roa, he's a OG character and also from the super nintendo games called Great battle ( 1-5) which is like a robot taisen game but sidescrolling :P pretty goo dgames
@SturmRitter Actually, many Mecha Designers have a stylistic similarity between their robot designs. I think Gravion is so prominent because it's probably one of the few big hits in the stand-alone Mecha Genre in the past decade. Masami Obari's designs haven't deviated much since he designed Dancouga in the 80s. Before that, he worked on the same team that did "Fight! Iczer-1" (Iczer Robo) and Dangaioh - probably garnering much of his current design philosophy for mecha while on those projects.

Compatable Kaiser was created before Gravion and had these attacks back during the super nintendo days. I just find it a fun coincidence.
