  • Wow. I'm that kid learning French. Haven't seen this one in years. Irony is I took the money from the commercial and bought an Apple II.

  • How epically awesome. :-)

  • bon-jeer?

  • Yeah, I think I was 7 years old back then. So 1977 would be about right.

The whole computer was actually run by a guy at the back of the room. -- his computer was much bigger.

  • wow 1981, i think it wuz more like 1977.

  • lol your bad i love it. did you actually learn the french you spoke in the commercial from the atari 400

  • "smartasscub", yes I'm really that kid. That's about it. I tried to learn German in high school and later tried to learn Spanish in college. "Bonjour Grandmere, Granpere. Como tale vou?" is about all I ever learned.

  • "sabeur1" if you're really that kid, then I really do hope for the love of God that your French has improved

  • It doesn't show the part, after he speaks French to his grandparents, where he blows them away with missiles, using what he learned from the Atari.

I owned one of these too. Great machines in their day.

  • Oh man, I used to have one of those. Complete with tape drive and everything.
