For two weeks I had been away from my garden. It had been the coldest part of November. Upon returning I discovered that nature had been collaborating with the biological filter in my fish pond. She had been working slowly to create this stalagmight-like ice sculpture, measuring forty inches in height. Aside from it's incredible beauty, the steady stream of water pouring into the opening and trickling down the inside, made a deep, reverberating sound. This full hollow sound thrilled me until warmer weather quickly melted away my astonishing gift.
