"Wrxtacy" a short film by Doug Smith

Last night I had the urge to go out and just shoot something. Since I've began modifying my car, I've been meaning to do a little feature.

The footage was taken with a Canon 5D MKII using various Canon and Nikon glass (50mm 1.4, 16-35mm 2.8, and 80-200mm 2.8). I used the Indifocus Indieslider for all tracking/moving shots. Editing was done in Final Cut Pro and graded using Magic Bullet Looks and Apple's Color Corrector 3-Way Plug-in.

Please note this car is a work in progress. I understand I may get some hate for the "illest" references, but driving a slammed car where I live is not practical, and downright impossible. One day, but right now it just isn't in the cards.

What did you need for the 04/05 rear end? Just rear lights and bumper?

@blaugrana1794 Just rear lights. Bumper is stock 03. THe lights stick out a bit, but it doesn't look out of place.

How do you get the camera shots where its going to one side to the other? Do you use a track or dolly or something?

@Miata93indaNoke I uses a 3' slider. It's fully manual where I have to move the camera from side to side by hand, but you can add tensions in order to get fluid movement.
