This is one from the vault. The song is titled Frank Lloyd Wright after the late great architect. The video is a slideshow of my failed attempt about a year ago to make a Sound of Seventy Three video featuring the live band.

In the video you will see Jeremy playing an OLP MM3 bass guitar, Mike playing his Epiphpone Elitist electric guitar; me and my original Reverend Warhawk electric guitar and Matt playing a set of Taye Drums. I know I was using some sort of tiny solid state Fender amp; I think Mike was using a pignose 60 w tube amp and Jeremy was using an 2x10 Ashdown bass amp. You will also see my Behringer PB1000 pedal board in a few shots with all the pedals that I used to make the original recording.

On the soundtrack you will hear my Reverend Warhawk and Squier 70's Vintage Modified Jazz Bass run through various mostly analog Behringer effects pedals (list below) into my MacBook running GarageBand via my Apogee Duet. Oh yeah, and the drums on the recording are Addictive Drums.

So here's the list of what I can remember using:

Behringer BLE100 BASS LIMITER ENHANCER

Behringer CS100 COMPRESSOR SUSTAINER

Behringer BO100 BLUES OVERDRIVE

Behringer OD100 OVERDRIVE DISTORTION

Behringer BQE700 BASS GRAPHIC EQUALIZER

Behringer EQ700 GRAPHIC EQUALIZER

Behringer DD100 DIGITAL DELAY

Behringer DR100 DIGITAL REVERB

Behringer V-TONE DGI 21 GUITAR AMP MODELER - DRIVER - DI

Behringer V-TONE BDI 21 BASS AMP MODELER - DRIVER - DI

Behringer ULTRA-G GI100 ACTIVE DI-BOX/VIRTUAL 4X12 CABINET SIMULATION

PB1000 BEHRINGER PEDAL BOARD

Whew! This was all a while ago so if I remember any other details I will update when I do.

  • And to think that everyone says Behringer pedals are too cheap to be any good...

  • @Gyrofist1 They don't know what they are talking about or are trying to justify spending 10X as much on something that sounds MAYBE slightly better. Not all the Behringers are created equal. Some of them sound not so good, some of them sound almost as good or just as good as the original, and some of them actually sound BETTER than the pedal they are based off of. I kid you not. These are professional quality pedals and if you can't make good music with them its not the pedal's fault.

  • I will stay tuned, I'm a subscriber now! ;-)

I really like the way you create and build-up music. Little bit like Mike Oldfield, but in a complete different style of music. Great and versatile!

  • @PianoNick Great Nick! Funny you mention Mike Oldfield as I was checking out some videos of his from the 70s. Funny thing is I never realized he was a guitarist until I saw these videos!!! Anyway more to come and thanks again!

  • Meanwhile I discoverd your other music too. Wow!!!

I like this one very much, great song!

  • @PianoNick Thanks Nick. If you like this one you will like my new album which will hopefully be coming out soon on Magnatune so stay tuned!!! :)

  • organic and organized, i believe FLW would have liked this,

  • Sweet work guys!! i cant get enough of post-rock. you guys are much better than a lot of others out there!

on the subject please check out my channel guys, I am a 1 man band and sometimes do mix post-rock with some other genre's to create interesting results!!

  • Haha, you must have been living underneath a stone! ;-) Mike Oldfield primary IS a guitarist! ;-) But especially his older works like Ommadawn and Hergest Ridge reminds you a bit of him. But you have your own identity and that's even better!

Yeah I love the Applause AE128 but my fingers hurt at the moment ;-) It's been too long since I've played metal strings, but... I keep on going within a week or two it must be okay (I hope ;-)

  • @Effigy26 Thanks so much!!! :D
