This variation of the classic Prince Nymph uses Ice Dub from Hareline Dubbin and is a great pattern for imitating green drake nymphs in the Willamette Valley, McKenzie River region of Oregon. For more fly tying videos, check out www.OregonFlyFishingBlog.com.

  • bit of advice .....stop moving the freakin camera

  • smart way to wrap lead!!!! nice

  • @andrewh4 yes you can, find a webby one, if not? use the neck hackle and get a old tooth brush, run this through the tied in hackle a good few times, this will soften it alot but make sure you tye enough hackle in as cock fibres are finer in width, it may look alot when dry but when wet it will be the equivalant to hen hackle

    tight lines

  • could I substitute a neck hackle for the hen hackle?

  • Tied up some of those egg sucking leech patterns. They look great. Cant wait till the fall run in a few weeks.

  • Nice job, looks like a good fly to use on the steelhead when they are sick of looking at all the egg sacks floating by on a bobber. Good luck to you.

    Regards,

    Bill
