@TheOneanjel almost forgot to add this.refering to your comment that Mj made more stars than the heavens,as far as i can recall Michael Jackson has never made anyone a star,Ola Ray from thriller perhaps and the only thing of notoriety she did after was an appearance in playboy :) ummm who else ahhh yes Brownstone whom MJ signed to his MJJ record label along with Men of Vision the male group.Hardly superstars, but ofcourse you'd know that ;)
-
@TheOneanjel your clueless,Glen Ballard is a grammy award winning song writer and has worked with very established stars,to say that Man in the mirror would not have made it outside of the church if MJ had not sung it is probaby the biggest load of crap ive read on the internet.Saying Siedah Garrets career has gone virtually no where........wow.Rude me lol far from it.Im Just a guy that knows a loser posting shit when he sees it.
-
@TheOneanjel just for arguments sake give me 5 artists that wrote a song for somebodyelse and then went on to re-record themselves just to prove the point you made.
-
@TheOneanjel ummmm unless i missed something theres nothing historically incorrect about what i posted in reply to you.Regarding your point about lucrative, that wasnt your post you said famous. You are not alone wouldve been number one certainly if R kelly had sung it,Thriller by nature of the lyrics would have been played at a guess at least once a year oh wait let me think around Halloween.............oh wait would that make the song be famous.
-
@The1972Jason As for "re recording" it is very common for artists to sing the famous version of thier own songs regardless of how long ago the orig was written or who sang it.
-
@The1972Jason She wrote the lyrics but the arrangement is not credited to her & it doesnt remind me of the original demo I heard in the 80s in a private session. Regardless it would not have ever been heard outside of church w/out the KOP performing it. She got to share her art thru MJ, win/win. Even WITH MJ's help and spotlight Garrets career has gone virtually nowhere. I have nothing against her but you have been rude & u should face facts.
-
@The1972Jason well, you're historically inept. Michael made more stars than the heavens and the songs were indeed famous because of him, not despite his fame. R. Kelly has a lot of hits but NONE as lucrative as the ONE he sold to Michael Jackson. Please don't "reply" to my post next time as if it has something to do with me. You have failed to perform the most basic research and yet you act as though you have a response to my factual post. Thats just rude.
-
@TheOneanjel youre musically inept if you believe that either you are not alone or thriller would not have been big hits,r kelly certainly would have a had a smash hit if he had sung and released it thriller certainly couldve been crafted around another vocalist and been a hit record.Theres no denying when mj sings a song it grows wings and soars but to say they would not of been famous is a little bit 'backward'.Id love to know what you think of the Cascio tracks on the Michael CD.

@TheOneanjel i love reading posts randomly like yours and it makes me laugh reading such misguided nonsense, firstly siedah garret was well known amongst black music fans since her featuring on dennis edwards track dont look any further,as for the track thats posted not being a demo, garbage this is most certainly the demo, think logically doesnt make sense to re-record a song you've just given to mj.....as for this song not leaving the studio if she kept it,are u kidding me........
