A look at my family living in the city of Brockton, MA - whose overworked courts and tough streets took my brother Luke's life 3/1/07. He was 28.

  • Me and my family thank everyone for posting comments regardless of its nature. To know that people are still viewing our story means so much!!! God Bless every individual living the American struggle whatever it may be! Much love and thanks!!!

  • Thank you to everyone that has stopped by to see our memorial to Luke and even perhaps leave a comment..It has been over a year but missing him has not lessened. To everyone that has lost a loved one, whether by war, drugs, violence...my heart is ONE with yours.

  • na its one of the badder cities, im 14 i grew up here since i was born so :\, but all you hear at night are gun shots/cop cars.

  • iplayrs...there hasn't been ONE single day in all the years that I've lived here when I haven't heard the sound of a siren somewhere. "The Sweet Schreech of the Siren Swan". Rise above it and stay strong...

  • ....I didn't get to know Luke very closely although I spent quite a bit of time around him with people from Wendell and Winthrop. For some reason I remember his smile in particular. He is missed.

Hopefully we can all pay more attention to the actual needs of the friends we still have and pass on those values to our kids so they may not make the same mistakes we have.

  • Touching memorial to Luke. I view it every so often to stay grounded and remember the friends we let slip through the cracks. Many of us are too immature and caught up with our lives and lifestyles to realize when someone really needs our help. By the time we are wise enough to realize what a friend's responsibilities really are we have already lost too many. Yes, the court system is broken but so are our value systems, especially amongst friends.

  • sorry bout ur bro,but at least u not in brooklyn

  • I use to live in Broketown and can rrelate w/your brothas experience but it has nothing to do with the court system...it has to do with the PARENTS changing the way they raise their kids...teach them torah raise their children to love the Most High instead of guns and drugs...just a thought my condolences my firend lost a brotha out in New Bedford not to long ago tot he mean streets...

  • nice video...should of added some music to it..thanks for sharing

  • I like your video. Makes you think. Sorry for your loss. Brockton is a tough place but if you are strong and don't lose hope you can handle anything.

  • Really sucks about your brother. Dope has really blown up huge in the south shore these past 3-4 years.
