Launched today, this amazing new Scooter costs under £1000 and buyers can also save on the rising costs of petrol as its eight pence per charge from your home electric socket and one charge will get you 30-40 miles.

The Scoota has been bought over from China where it already sells 13million a year. Londoners will be able to save on congestion charge and parking fees and there are a number of free charge points around the city.

With Boris Johnson trying to get scooter usage in bus lanes, the Ego Street Scoota, with top speeds of 30 miles an hour could get you to work quicker than public transport and minus the stress.

  • @celticstones hi! it lasts 30-40 miles, you have to charge for 9 hours...the company is going to sell extra parts cheap although you still save on MOT.

  • does anyone know who will insure these in the uk? i've been struggling to find a company that even has it on their list of bikes

  • HOY LEGGSSS!! Damn!!! She's got some Thighs on her! Forget the scooter....whos the chick!

  • I've got one of these things. Beware not many insurers will take it on. Also poor paintwork. Mine has 2000 miles on and now has a range of 20 miles. It does a pittyfull 25 mph tops on flat.

  • ive got one of these and they are good but not as fast as stated but gets me round town ok, sadly i havent got a bird with a short dress coz it sets the little scoot off

  • 0:17 Helloooo

  • How can someone say the product does 30 when its not yet even done 20????? don't really trust that it'll get me 40 miles from a charge. I had a go on an Eped over the weekend and hit 35 in a carpark.

  • I was on firebox and someone asked about the battery and this is what they said "Firebox says: Batteries should last 3 years, we are looking to stock batteries in the future which shall be around £75."

  • My electric pedel bike assist was £600, its limited to 15 mph and the battery will cost me £200 to replace.

The only down side to this little beauty, is parking. It really suits an home owner before it fits the lifestyle of today's flat renters.

I mean how do plug and charge one of these things if you can't phyically place the bike within a few meters of a socket for eight hours?

    Otherwise great idea!!

  • Apparently it goes 30 mph

    wtf ?

    It better go 30 mph
