NOTE: 渡辺はま子, 渡邊濱子, 渡邊哈瑪子 or Hamako Watanabe is the same person. This song was always thought to be attributed to Yoshiko Yamaguchi 山口淑子 or 李香蘭, but this is not true. 渡辺はま子 had recorded it in 1938, while the movie was filmed in 1940, in which 山口淑子 sang the song. 李香蘭曾經在她出版的書《我的半生--在中國的日子》p.116裏表白：支那之夜是渡辺哈瑪子先灌了唱片，很受歡迎電影的主題歌由我李香蘭演唱，而且這樣一來，渡辺哈瑪子­的唱片也能大量售出。(p.117) 電影裏都是由我演唱，而唱片由渡辺哈瑪子灌唱。

you are wnowingly onto the point. "如果哪天中国改朝换代后，与日本签订新条约..." is the reason why Other nation NEEDS some consistent geographical/region name which does not depends on state/dinasty name "中国"... like Siberia (which came from "鮮卑ria" and Cathay, as you mentioned ).

and your comment knowkingly got to another point. External world does does not want to use fructuating name of state which always cherishes like "如果哪天●●改朝换代后，与●●签订新条约...". Others just like reliability. [thanks]

China 拼音出來真的是支那，沒有錯呀，中國文化是給共產黨滅了的，毛澤­東殺中國人多過南京大屠殺呀，日本和韓國保存中國文化最完整

支那既cine既中国之夜，我作为一个在海外的cine人一点也­没有感觉侮辱之感。

苏俄人称呼我们中国为契丹，日本人称呼支那，突厥人称呼我们为c­in（秦）英国人称我们是china，他们应该是先听意大利人传­过来的。

我们自我不应该有自卑感。

如果哪天中国改朝换代后，与日本签订新条约，我希望加一条，日本­人子孙后代永世不能讲中国二字，只能用支那代替。这与古代皇帝名­讳一样，中国二字不能随便让人叫的。
