In this performance driven art work I scaled a 38 foot wall with two claw hammers...kicking and clawing my way to the top! As with many of my performance works this piece creates Art as a result of the performance. While Performance Art is considered Art in itself this piece is very tongue in cheek. Sarcastically, Art is created when I press the giant button waiting for me at the top of the wall and the Art Lights up.

Extraneous info: I built and installed this piece from start to finish in 6 days!

For the Climbers: I used a Silent Partner belay device to solo lead climb this wall with 7 clips to the top.

FYI...This type of climbing is dangerous and the drywall used was not your standard kind found in a home or office and was crumbling as I climbed itI also used a safety device, which reduces, but does not eliminate the chance of injury or death! Do Not Attempt to do this!

Music in the background at the begining was played live by Tedsilk.

  • Rope was attached to 2 locking carabineers, 2 cordelettes, and ultimately 2 Stainless Steel Eyelets...with Solo Belaying you must have a fixed anchor.
