  • But is it vest worthy?

  • I think the point is, it works.. And the projectile will still be doing about 900 fps at 300 yds....Still have good results And be bloody quiet... Unlike anything you do from a .300 win mag

  • @rosspl23 it's also because there's not enough velocity to make the bullet expand, there is such a thing as over penetration and when that happens your not dumping energy inside the target. your wasting it in the hill behind the target.

  • all of you dummies need to understand this is a subsonic load and from an 8" barrel so the velocity is llow ( <1100 fps) Being able to produce this amount of penetration while remaining suppressed is amazing.

  • Just curious. What kind of velocities can you achieve through your barrel with say 200 or 225 grain bullets?

  • I think 9mm would go though 3-4 boards and the paint can. definitely not 7 like this 338, but still....

i think 7.6x39 would DEFINITELY go through all the boards and the paint can full of water, and 7.62x39 is not very powerful.....just saying 338 spectre can go through a lot more than this, this is not really showing the true power of the cartridge. A huge slab of geletin would tell us more.

  • You didn't notice the paint can full of water? Your 9mm would fail this test.

  • kind of silly, boards aren't a real test for a bullet...can do the same thing with a 9mm lolz. I actually put a gold dot hollowpoint through 6 2x4's myself. and that was factory load, and a hollowpoint like i said....an fmj would do better. anyway try water, geletin, clay, or something other than wood
