The legendary bass player, Nate Watts, who has played with Stevie Wonder for 30 some years and is his musical director came over today and laid down some incredible parts on BC-SR Song 1. His childhood buddy, Ray Parker Jr., was over too as well as Sheldon Reynolds....lots of good stories were told today!! Ray and Nate started a band together when they were 6 years old back in Detroit!!! That's some history right there. It was an absolute pleasure recording with Nate today cause besides being one of the best musicians, he's one of the coolest guys you'll ever meet. Check out this video as he lays down the vamp out. Oooohweeee! -- UPDATE -- this song is called "It's Time"

  • I love how jazz bridges racial gaps. There is no race when it comes to smooth jazz. That's why i love it so...

  • This is how music is supposed to be made !

  • great i just find this vid! thanx ! mr. uploader.

  • Unbelievable musicianship!

  • @perky596 I second that!! I singled out jazz because many of the jazz concerts I frequent have an almost equal turnout of different races and/or nationalities. And jazz most often is instrumental, meaning that we can't even listen for the sound of a voice to determine the person's background. With jazz...you just let the music carry you away into happiness. Everything else is somewhat null and void... that's all i was saying. :)

  • @Classyjazzlady I totally agree. I don't think it's just jazz though. Music in its entirety bridges racial gaps.
