If anyone is interested Shenmue modding head over to the Shenmue Dojo forums (modding forum), we have managed to extract models and textures from the game and we are currently working on a model library to release to the community so fans can make comics, mods and other fan related content, head over there to help us out and to take a look at our progress :D

Totally agree. Other games developers would never map the graphics to areas you couldn't get to but this game was made by people who care. And i must mention how timeless Shenmue's music is. It fits so well and adds to the atmosphere
