@80sLN: There IS a glimpse of Sonny, sort of. The close-up of the Indian Hunter statue in Central Park (0:26-0:29). Ms. Livingston told me that when she first imagined Sonny, this was her inspiration. So, there's the inside scoop from the author herself! :)
