Just showing a mod that makes minecraft look that much better with a very simple tweak.

Mod: http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1032&t=128995

Song is a discarded song in minecraft called calm4.ogg

Once I move and get my HDD all sorted, I will be making more minecraft videos.

  • Can't see the different, you should make a comparison picture.

  • @Alfee94 Turn on HD and look into the distance of the ocean.

  • @vexx21322 I see it now, it's very slight and the sea is sorta fading out to just blue

  • @Alfee94 I'll make another where I have the bob on so you can see the swirling better.

  • @rhysvanhouten746 Wrong. It does improve the performance some amount. The gain might night be noticeable, but it does.

  • @luapzebest no, makes it worse

  • Come on, guys, mipmapping is a MUST since 1996. Just install it and you'll see that far textures don't blink any more.

  • @mart3323 Thank you

  • Does it improve the performances ?

  • for those who have no clue to the hell the uploader is talking about, the ocean looks smoother and less pixelated with mippapping on, mipmapping was originaly designed due to the fact old computer games had pixelated textures when upclose to the wall and improves all visual quility.

  • @vexx21322 ur lookin down

  • If you can't tell the difference, click 2 and 6, and see, how one has the entire ocean evenly, uhh, speckled with white, and the other has a very smooth, clear blue water in the distance

alternatively, check the lines between the blocks, heading away from you, on the first, they're distorted.

on the second, they're perfectly straight and fade away in a while

i think this may also improve framerates
