This is the first single released from the "Breakin' Free" CD by the Jan Michael Looking Wolf Band.

In 2009, Jan Michael won Artist of the Year at the prestigous Native American Music Awards for his flute-rock recording, "The Looking Wolf Project".

This new CD is his sophmore rock recording. Jan Michael wrote several songs for the project, all centered around his life as a Native American in a modern world.

Half the songs include lead vocals by Jan Michael, the other half his award winning native flute playing with the rock band backing him up.

This is part of "The Breakin' Free Project", an effort to help with drug and alcohol prevention for Native American Youth across the country.

The Band:

Jan Michael Looking Wolf: Lead Vocals, guitar, flute
Kenny Sequoia Lewis: Lead Guitar
Ledhead Ned: Bass and live show producer
Pat McDermott: Guitars
Nathan Myers: Percussion, guitars, world drums

  • Such incredible talent and a generous spirit to match! I've seen him in person three times now, and every time feels more amazing than the first! He teaches through his music and he lives what he teaches. If you ever have a chance to see him in person, I would highly recommend it!
