True story. Every year I played the part of the Black King in the school Xmas play. I guess that's because my brother and I were the only Black kids in school. One year a kid that played one of the other Kings got sick. They needed a last minute substitute. My brother was the only one that knew the sick kid's lines. That year they had 2 Black Kings and 1 White one. We came and out the whole audience broke out in laughter. 10 yrs old I didn't know why. Later on I figured it out.
Just think, most of those little sweethearts will be parents and grandparents themselves now. Time is certainly a most wonderful and terrible thing. Brought back many memories of my own childhood. Thank you for posting.
