On January 8, 2010, Dr. Lynn Rogers on behalf of the WILDLIFE RESEARCH INSTITUTE in Ely, Minnesota set up a camera in the entrance of a wild black bear´s den. A three year old female bear named Lily was expected to give birth to her first litter in late January. On January 22nd HOPE was born.
This is the unforgettable wild ride Lily & Hope took us on. HOLD TIGHT! GET READY! AND ENJOY IT!!!

Thank you to the order of 1000! And the drama of the bears continues, for all of the research bears and the rest world-wide. Let us learn to live with them, insuring their habitats, and most importantly, that they do have an emotional quality of life (limbic system) and a more highly evolved brain than some of our pets that our species adores and protects.
