  • it wouldn't be so small if people like you would say that you're going back and never do.

  • hi i would have to agree with your comments. When i marched with pueblo county, i remember that pride city was a big band, and they were tought to beat. The percussion instructor for pride city though i would have to say is a joke. She needs to start having the percussion section work on techniques, and cleaning up the music, and not to emphasize on visual effects too much.

  • I was apart of the band when we were still one of the best bands in the state (Al Cozzetto was the director and Eric Gonzales was the drumline instructor), we were beyond amazing, but when both Al and Eric left the same year (2005 was their last summer), we had one great year (2006) with Kouba and Andrea, but like you said, the band has been going downhill. However, next summer is going to be different.

  • Kouba is going to bring on an assistant director, which I'm hoping will be Gerard Flores so Gerard can concentrate on the music, getting it better, and Kouba can work on the marching part. As for the drumline, the reason why they haven't been tight and clean is because we've had members quit and join throughout the past two summers which makes it hard to be nearly as good as we used to be.

  • The paid drumline instructor, Andrea, might or might not be back next summer, but not matter what, for the sake of Pride City, I will still be a bud as well as a hard-ass instructor. We've been so amazingly lenient with the line the past two years it's horrible. I'm going to start establishing some of the old traditions and practicing techniques we used to have to bring the line back up to being the best.

  • @cook89us well for only marching a couple years of a pretty good high school band you are usin' some pretty strong words. I hope you realize that even though you may not be marching anymore, you are still representing your high school band. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I just don't think bashing on a band that is obviously having a hard time is the best way to represent yourself.

  • I MARCHED THE PARADE OF LIGHTS DURING MY SENIOR YEAR. TODD SKOGLUND WAS THE INSTUCTOR. MOSTLY PRIDE CITY BAND MEMBERS MADE UP THE ENTIRE BAND. I MARCHED MY 4 YEARS OF HIGH SCHOOL WITH PUEBLO COUNTY

  • MY SENIOR YEAR I MARCHED DURING THE PARADE OF LIGHTS WHEN TODD SKOGLUND WAS THE INSTRUCTOR. MOSTLY PRIDE CITY BAND MEMBERS MADE UP THE ENTIRE BAND. I MOSTLY MARCHED COUNTY THOUGH.

  • @cook89us did you march anywhere else besides county?

  • Redacted, Moreno was kinda a dick. He ran in thinking he was all that and tear down all the tradition we've built up over the years

  • Yeah, Kouba kind of sucks. Mr. Moreno, East's band director is supposed to help out this summer. He used to direct and judge street marching in California. He's great at teaching and directing music at East and I can't wait to see how he does with Pride.
