how do you like the photography program at ryerson? any advice? cozs im choosing between ryerson and ocad D:

@WylieeeWawa I like it. I think OCAD's a bit too artsy for me. I mean, photography at Ryerson's pretty focused on making art for the gallery, but at OCAD, you'd have to take drawing and painting and sculpture courses in first year, which I know I wouldn't have done well at. If you're a well-rounded artist, OCAD might be ideal for you, but if you're focused entirely on photography, Ryerson may be better. At least that's how I see it.

and one more thing...did you have to take other extra courses such as english..math and stuff in the beginning?

@WylieeeWawa no, no, no. no. definitely no math. Besides your required photo courses, you have to take Liberals. So that's like psychology, sociology, geography, philosophy, history, english, etc. but you get to chose from a big ole list of them, so you can take all sociologys, or philosophys if you don't like history or english.

It does however make me smile that the good people in the film department at ryerson saw what you are and acted appropriately. Hopefully the other programs at ryerson are ok with a fuck up like you.
