Casa Macaista

'Casa Macaísta' is the Macanese (from Macau) version of a very famous Portuguese tune called 'Casa Portuguesa'. The lyrics are sung in Macanese creole, also known as 'Patuá' or 'Doci Papiaçam di Macau'.
The Patuá translation was made by a famous Macanese called José Carlos Santos Ferreira, also known as Adé. The singer in this version is Isabel Tello Mexia.

Lovely song. I have a friend who is Portuguese, who sometimes used to sings Portuguese songs to me. It's cool to hear a Macanese variant of this Portuguese folk song.

Are there efforts being made to preserve this language in Macau or not? Apparently there are only like 50 native speakers of the language left.
