EXPLICATIVE VOWELS IN RAP/HIP-HOP
Negative explitaves pervasive in Hip-Hop/ rap lyrics are noted generally to temper
vocalized stress on (words containing) short vowels, esp. /ĭ / female, and /ŭ/ male;
what I refer to as "coital vowels' since simulative of the types of sounds vocalized by
male and female during coitus-thus suggestively grounded in the root chakra.
Note the letters "I" [phallus] and "U" [vulva, yoni] respectively.
Long vowels generally remain intact where and when used.
Intonation of the short vowel is distinct from the proper annunciation of words
themselves, depending on drawl, accent and tone will deliberately shorten the vowel,
though otherwise typical of almost every such explicatave used.
Vocalizations tend to carry consonantal sound of /n/ (ng)
The short vowel /ĭ / (as in tip) may generally be vocalized by the female during coitus
"shit"
"bitch"
"kill"
"dick"
"nigga"[/ĭ / /ŭ/]
"trigga"[/ĭ / /ŭ/]
"trick"
"thick"
"brick"
The short vowel /ŭ/ (as in nut, or "uh") may generally exerted by the male during
coitus.
"fuck"
"Buck! Buck! Buck!"
"pussy"
"Gangs"ta [/ŭ/]
"butta"
"butt"
"Chedda" [/ŭ/]
"Mutha Fukka"
"gun"
"suck"
"shawty"
"luh" (love)
'Money"
"Shut (the fuck) up!"
