A walk around the saltwater reef tanks (display & refugium around 400 gallons) on this sunny day in April. The glass is a bit dirty but oh well. Salinity 1.025 & 76 degrees.

  • Thanks for the comments. I have two vortech pumps at the surface of the tank that add varied amounts of water flow which contributes to the surface ripples. So it depends on the flow program. I have to scrape the coralline algae off my glass about once a month. I use 3 - 150W metal halides and 3 - 96W tek T5 lights. The tank has been up for about 4 years.

  • amazing tank :) might i suggest adding more surface flow to make more of a ripple in the water, as well as scraping down the front glass. it will make your already amazing tank, shine! :) how old is the tank? and what kind of lighting are you using?
