In January 2008, the MLB Fan Association, a non-profit organization, was founded, establishing a collective Union for the MLB Fan Base. The charter of the MLBFA is to vigorously advocate and defend the interests of the consumers of America's National Pastime.
Franchise owners interests are promoted through the MLB Commission, and players interests via the MLB Players Association. Due to this effective organized representation, Player salaries are astronomical, and Franchise profits & valuations are astonishing.
Conversely, the unrepresented MLB Fans face ever increasing costs: Exorbitant ticket prices; Ridiculous stadium concessions; Unreasonably priced team merchandise; Games aired via franchise owned pay cable TV; Government tax exemptions & subsidies.

  • Apparently the prices are still low enough to keep fans in the stands. I bet people who refuse to pay ticket prices still buy official merchandise and buy products endorsed by MLB and its players. Fans are doing this to themselves.

  • Rangers Stadium:

    2.50 for dog

    1.00-2.00 for beer

    3:50 for burger

    5.00 for ticket

    Come to Texas NYers

  • @joeguy02 I only did it once once is the key never will I do it again from now on I will continue to go on stubhub find $4.11 bleacher seats you think I'm kidding look before a game like a couple days before=awesome anyway I will buy those seats&then go to the diner by my house eat for $30.00 for 3 people as opposed to buying a hotdog&a beer that costs $12.00 minimum than the cost of parking at the tarrytown train station&buying a round trip ticket on the train

  • is it only $1.2 bil I thought that was low&yeah 3 cheesestakes&2 beers&a soda was $57.75

  • If you hate the prices, dont go. Anyone dumb enough to pay $10 dollars for a crappy piss beer, $5 dollars for water and $7 dollars for a hot dog deserves to be ripped off. The reason the prices are so high is because so many people keep paying these prices. If you dont like it, stop going. After a while when the owners find out how empty the ballparks are and no food or drinks are being sold, they would have no choice but to lower it.

  • Yankees stadium - $10.00 beers, $5.00 waters, $7.00 hot dogs and sheeple continue to pay these prices. The people in this country are retarded.

  • Man, and I thought $12 for cheap seats at a Marlins game was expensive, not to mention the $25 seats which are the same seats that cost $700 per game at the Yankees stadium.....wow!!!

  • I'm a White Sox fan, and for us they gradually increase ticket prices every year. Up until 2004 there was one set of ticket prices for every game. Now they have 3 sets. Regular, prime, and premier. Regular is against teams like Kanas City and whoever else sucked the year before, prime is teams like Cleveland and Minnesota, and premier is teams like New York and Boston, but worst of all you can only get the premier tickets now as part of like a ten game package. THIS IS HORSE SHIT!!!!!

  • We need such organizations for gas, food, etc.

  • I wish that this could be true....but until fans unite and really stop going to games then and only then will MLB and other sports see the power they have. Its better to just get sports channel on cable for the season
