  • @dajwilkinson It would have made sense, but the praciticalities of getting OHLE into the tunnel sections and south of New Cross Gate would have been more expensive!

  • Good to see a reopened line in action but, like Cazkumali, I am surprised that this substantially new line was not electrified at 25kV AC in view of the apparent present thinking that the DC third rail has had its day. I wonder whether the old 'cheaper to install' argument won again - as it has done since the 1930s!

  • Nice commuter trains. Thumbs up! :)

  • My dad is the signaller on this line.

  • @Southernrailwaysfan I wish the 378/1s were dual-voltage units but good video anyway

  • @whirlpoolking Yes they are

  • Id prefer to see the doors on them flush with the body. Only been on it twice. Still dont understand the meaning of the Overground. There trains doing the same routes? anyway. Would love to see Commuter trains like this in Ireland, Course they would have to be diesel cause no electricity bar the D.A.R.T. what a waste.

  • why dont bachmann make a model of these modern units there coolio love the sound too

  • Dalston Junction is about a 5 mins walk from Haggerston!

  • This train has the only announcement voice that I actually like. All the other trains have really annoying voice thingies.
