You adjusted the air shutter without smoke testing. this is absolutley a boneheaded move.

its fun seeing the next generation of service techs training. one tip for you when you run a no heat call on oil furnace is to ask the homeowner how many times has the reset button been hit, trust me stand way back and never look into the pot while trying to start the unit. hint to everyone out their, does anyone remember the movie "Backdraft".
