The Karsilama is a 9/8 rhythm , known and played widely in the Balkan and middle eastern countries. It's origins appear to be Turkish , some say Romany ,some Greeks insist that it has its origns in ancient Greece ......Doesn't matter , it belongs to all of us : performed live on 20th October , 2007 at The East London Mobile Phone Recording Studios by The holy men of music themselves : Swami Blue and The Guru !

This music is from the theatrical play "odos oniron" that means street of dreams. both music and lyrics are from Manos Hadjidakis. It is a 60's theatrical play. At the premier there were among others Jane fonda, Elia Kazan, Cliff Richard and Ingrid Bergman
