  • @MrsBloomsburyBarton I don't think I've heard that! Do you by any chance know the musical he wrote it for?

  • for the 1956 film High Society, where it was introduced by Frank Sinatra and Celeste Holm. Whilst looking at expensive wedding presents, the singers decide that they in fact have little desire to be fabulously wealthy. (from Wikipedia!)

  • I can't work out how to post a link here but if you search "Cole Porter Who Wants To Be A Millionaire High Society" on YouTube there's a very clear clip of the song from the film. It comes quite near the top of the search results. These things normally start as stage musicals but my copy of the music score is copyrighted 1955 so maybe this one originated as a film

  • What song is from 5:26 to 6:26?

  • Who Wants To Be A Millionaire

  • Cole was one of the best ever. His music lives true today 70 years after it was written.

  • My God... Cole was just a true enlightement. And still shines through the people who ARE HONOURED to replay his songs.

  • Cole porter live

  • we sang this in chorus a few years ago as our pops concert (where we sing famous songs) sooo much fun!

  • Well sung, I expect you will get a lot more hits in the near future as one of the more popular video games at this time prominently features Cole Porter's songs.

  • Thaks for this lovely clip, I have never heard these sung by choirs :) Cole Porter was really an astonishing composer, his music is still fresh and alive.

  • I am from Peru Indiana and Cole and his wife Linda are buried in the Cole Family Plot.
