THE MIGHTY RIVER

The mighty river she runs
With her white caps that dance in the sun
And her cold deep waters that flow so swiftly through time.
From Erie the water does flow
Past the shores of old Buffalo
Beneath the bridge of peace which still stands so strong.

There are islands which she surrounds,
A place where strawberries abound,
And an island which is so grand it goes by that name.
The children they play in her waves,
The boaters her currents they brave,
And fishermen cast out their lines which go oh so deep.

Turbines are moved by her might
which gives us power and light,
Still she pushes ahead to the north end.
Over rocks her rapids are formed,
A barge that's lodged there so long,
Through the sister of islands that sit at the brink of the falls.

Then a natural wonder occurs,
One of seven here on the earth.
The mist of Niagara she billows up towards the sky.
As the Indian legends are read
The maid she appears up ahead.
And many from all o'er the world gaze at her sight.

The Horseshoe Falls they are grand,
With the American Falls they do span
The distance between two countries which are so great.
In the gorge down below
The water it still does flow.
More rapids, a whirlpool, and even down Devil's Hole.

From the Falls to Ontario
Fourteen more miles she'll flow
Past towns that dot the American and Canadian sides.
The mighty river she runs
With her white caps that dance in the sun
And her cold deep waters that flow so swiftly through time.

Very pretty, but a bit slow and tedious. I liked it better when you filmed the "Legend of Boggy Creek" and your "star's" boots leaked in the swamp! ;-)
