Lightning Audio S5.700 Car Amplifier testing 5-Channel CVR12

Testing out a Lightning Audio S5.700 Car Amplifier after I did some repairs on it. It is a 5-Channel amp designed for running 4 corners and a sub. This is a very nice sounding amplifier & is a nice all in one unit. Very large amplifier & puts out a fair bit of power. Very Loud with the Rockford Punch 8's in Cerwin Vega boxes and the 2 Sony Bookshelf speakers, the sub channel on the Kicker CVR12's sounded great as well. I had it all fine tuned to blend the bass with the full range speakers.

@dvsguy2, the amp is not for sale at the moment. Not sure what I want to do with it yet. I originally bought it for resale, but decided to hang on to it & may use it for something. Again, don't know what I will end up doing with it.

kado718, I think I tried to reply to this a while back but youtube was not working right for me & would not let my comment post. The song is called "Hell Sent" & is on the "Faces of Death" CD by B.O.N.E ENTERPRISE (Bone thugs~N~harmony) & is there very first album from 1991 or 1993 somewhere around there. Take care man!

newmanto03, the Cerwin Vega boxes are only 2-ways. They have the Cerwin Vega tweeters still, but the Cerwin Vega 8 inch woofers were replaced with these Rockford Fosgate PUNCH 8 inch woofers, but the rest is Cerwin Vega, just not the woofers. The Rockford 8" are around 10 years old & are starting to show there age, I just noticed the foam surround is starting to break, & I think the cones is starting to separate from the voice coil. I hated to see that, but they served me well for 10 years!

Hi, 621ELECTRONICS!

I was wondering if you could help me. I have the same amp in my car and i have a problem. When i turn my radio on, the amp gets power (i hear sub making sound 4 a sec), but it doesn't turn on: the green light isn't lightning. So the question is: is there any switch or smt that will turn the amp on, because i couldn't find it anywhere. Or what should i do to get the green light?
