We made the change and it lowered our bill (25 BULBS?). I agree about the mercury, though, that's an issue. LED light bulbs might be the future when they get cheaper, I heard.

i agree with you about greenpeace, but i replaced all the bulbs in my house (about 25) and my power bill has NOT changed in one year since i did the re-fit...and don't break one or the mercury will have to be cleaned up by a toxic spill company!

your animation framerate sucks, good idea about idea lightbulbs i guess (even though they're fictional and not actually using any electricity) but implementation, sucks. (also i'd be worried about little men in my bath/room stealing my idea bulbs!

These lightbulbs won't make a dent in U.S. energy needs.
The retards preaching the use of these bulbs couldn't tell you what percentage of U.S. power goes to lighting needs.
