Highlights from the two hour Ordination and Consecration Liturgy on September 19, 2009 in the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island, N.Y. where the Presiding Bishop, the Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori, and 20 other bishops ordained Lawrence Charles Provenzano as the 1037th bishop in the American succession and who will serve as the eighth Bishop Diocesan of Long Island. (The liturgy is from the Book of Common Prayer, pages 512 and following.)
