One of the many development tests done on the Chevrolet Volt is to ensure the lithium-ion battery pack is protected from water. Watch as the car drives through a water trough at different depths and speeds.

  • Why does it have an air filter? Its not a hybrid is it?

  • electricity isnt the future trust me we will run out of resouces to run electricity hydro is the future but nice car GM you did well

  • @kiiiro Didn't Toyota just have major recalls due to malfunctioning mechanics and software of both the brakes and accelerator?

What problem did you have with your GM car that affected you in a more serious way then faulty breaking and accelaration?

All corporated companies suck, they are there for profit and profit only; they even have international legislation exempting exempting all employees for pretty much any "criminal acts" related to there products

  • @13thBaktun they disconnect each other and breaks the link so no fire can be started or shock.

  • I know my Nissan ALTIMA will outlast the G.M. product it. My Nissan went over 5,000 plus durability tests to ensure it will last me a long time. On the other hand my chevys engine went crappy at 105k miles with all proper maintenance.

  • THEY DIDN'T EVEN SAY IF THERE WAS WATER IN IT OR NOT

  • brilliant! now i can deliver pizzas during heavy rain!!!

  • @cengeb I was always interested in the fact that after we (the taxpayers) bailed out GM, then gave it to the UAW (who were the primary cause of GM's problem in the first place), the first thing they did was close the Saturn division, the only GM division showing a profit? Ever wonder why? Saturn was the only domestic manufacturer that was "non-union"! Bet you most Americans didn't know that!

  • @cengeb I agree!
