Cannondale Trail Five 2011, First Look!

Just started off what I left back in 1998. Yes!.. Its Mountain Biking!.. I missed the good old days cycling at East Coast Park and the Changi Beach. In order to get back into mtb-ing, I just got myself and wifey each a Cannondale Trail 5 mtb. I love trailing and I got some Cat Eye's and Top Peak's accessories to prepare the both bike. Can't wait for weekends!

why does the trail 5 have a lockout and the trail 6 dont have a lockout?

As other bicycle brands, the lower the number (eg. trail 6, 5, SL etc), better parts will be fitted onto the bike. The parts for trail 5 is pretty decent too.

Yup, the suspension travel is only 100mm and I turn it soft at maximum when I hit the trails. I took a dive in one of the trail's edge and it bottomed up, like you say its totally compressed. Its a year old plus now and I might be looking for something better to get it replace :-) Overall, the bike is solid hard!..

Hi, its a great bike for entry level. I've rode this bike into the trails together with full-suspension bikers and it tagged along well. No sweat, but I think I will need to replace the front suspension for longer travel :-)

But the trail 6 is the cheaper one. Hmm. probably depends on where you are in the world also.

The colour scheme and parts differences. The Trail Six have better parts, body still the same.
