Black Press Radio.com's DC Livers caught up with Whodini rap group member with surprising results for the third installment of our new series entitled, "Celebrity Confessions."
Formed in 1981, Whodini is a hip hop group that hailed from New York made up of Jalil (Jalil Hutchins), Ecstasy (John Fletcher) and Grandmaster Dee (Drew Carter).
In keeping with 1980s trends, Whodinis cuts like "Friends", "One Love" and others tended to be synthesizer-driven with a heavy electronic drumbeat. The sampling technology that became identified with hip-hop music hadnt really become prominent during Whodinis early days, and its works were thoroughly original compositions. Haunted House of Rock was its first single, a whimsical Halloween-themed number.
