You know what you don't hear anymore? Wysiwyg or wiz-e-wig.
At least she said it correctly. I've never known anyone who spells it out as G U I.
And to think all she had to do was run tracert in a command window. Of course if he used a proxy , she might have to build a GUI for that.

My only response to that idea is "What?" followed closely by "How would that even work?"
Also I hate the redundant "interface" she added on since, as I'm sure was pointed out in this comment section before, the 'I' in 'GUI' stands for that.

"I'll create a GUI interface using Visual Basic."
(Half an hour of expository footage is cut.)
"I'll see if I can track an IP address."
Amazingly, the two scenes stitched together seamlessly.

I think more importantly an interface is just an interface, tho - regardless of the programming language. I mean, if you want to write a novel, simply buying 200 sheets of paper won't do the trick, you still need to write something on it. A GUI is just a part of a program and doesn't do anything meaningful, unless there's functional code behind to do something with the data that the interface receives.

ill make some soup to track the killer then create some java script to find the gun then upload it to a usb to get his IP
I think I'll just write into the MSDOS command line "find the murderer" and the PC will do it.

I'll create a MS Word .docx using Comic Sans. I'll see if I can track the IP address.
