Solving Africa's Weed Problem: Increasing Crop Production & Improving the Lives of Women is the newest project of The CropLife Foundation, a Washington, DC based non-profit focused on sustainable agriculture and the environmentally sound use of crop protection products and bioengineered agriculture. This project is also being coordinated with the Citizens Network for Foreign Affairs or CNFA, a Washington, DC-based, non-partisan, not-for-profit organization dedicated to stimulating economic growth around the world by nurturing entrepreneurship, private enterprise, and market linkages.

This video is part 1 of 2 of a Farmer's Field Day in Kenya in which Farmers are being taught the potential benefits of Herbicide use on their farms through demostrations and experiment plots.

More information on the Project can be found here: http://www.croplifefoundation.org/cpri_articles.htm#africa

  • You should really look into the work of Masanobu Fukuoka.

If you plant clower or even lay down straw straw between the plants, you need to do very little weeding and don't have to spray 'modern' poisons on the crop.
