@1998jayday it's not that hard, just google up articles about stretching methods and practice. If it hurts, there might be different reasons, if it's pain in the middle of the muscle, it's ok, it's natural when your stretching, just don't go to far, otherwise it might be because you're stretching wrong (for example pulling on the ligaments in the knee). One thing that may help is working on the strength of the muscle, weak muscles panic when are forced to stretch.
