Petition: http://impeachgonzales.org/ It's time for Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to go. Bush won't fire him -- but YOU can.

  • Gonzalez 3 favorate words. I DON'T RECALL

  • "Like a steam locomotive, rolling down the track, he's gone, he's gone ...and nothing's gonna bring him back! He's gone!"

  • Actual war was never declared. Congress did not sign off on a war and this is still a presidential action. Using the broad term "war on terror" does not equate to have him override our laws because we're at war. Nowhere in our constitution is he given that authority without full authorization from congress. Just like he can't make treaties with Iraq. A memo written by a corrupt official does not make something legal.

  • The office of legal counsel does not have the authority to allow the president to override federal statutes. Yoo forgot to pay attention to a civil rights case in our country where sheriffs waterboarded people into confessions. They were prosecuted to the full extent of the law and the case was upheld against the sheriffs in the 5th circuit court.

  • This is why he was called Alberto "See no evil" Gonzales!

  • The Justice Department's newly declassified torture memo outlined the broad legal authority its lawyers gave to the Bush White House on matters of torture and presidential authority during times of war.

provided legal guidance for military interrogations of alien unlawful combatants, and concluded that the president's authority during wartime took precedence over the individual rights of enemies captured in the field.

  • The memo, released Tuesday, determined that amendments to the U.S. Constitution, which in part protect rights of individuals charged with crimes, do not apply equally to enemy combatants.

"The Fifth Amendment due process clause does not apply to the president's conduct of a war," the memo noted. It also asserted, "The detention of enemy combatants can in no sense be deemed 'punishment' for purposes of the Eighth Amendment," which prohibits "cruel and unusual" forms of punishment.

  • How about that president vetoing a pay raise for our troops? How about him denying money for their disabilities? Still think they support the troops? Terries? Are we talking about Terri Schiavos or Terriers now? You don't make any sense.

  • Wow how dare you defile the late John Paul's name. How does one pope an ass? Does that mean they pour holy water on it and use a cross on it? You make no sense justice with your incoherence. Now you claim you're a US soldier that has more time than those "lazy bums" to make 30 youtube accounts and spam various videos

  • These guys are worse than mafia, they stripping the public of real justice and replacing it with neocons with the soul purpose of taking away freedom and truth.
