No. James Van Praagh wasn't the one who made me believe in spiritism anyway.
He is just a writer.
Now, why do some atheist - not talking about you - take pleasure in taking hope away from people? For some, their religion is the only thing keeping them going. (not my case).
Just saying that people should be careful when trying to take the faith away from others.
In my case, it isn't faith. I had to see it, to believe in it.
I'm a journalist, I work with facts.

As for the other explanations, yes! I have tried to come up with other explanations to my experiences, especially since I used to be atheist. But the experiences were so strong and undebatable that I couldn't find any explanation other than spirits. :-)

Well, then you understand perfectly why I don't believe in spirits right? The only reason you do is because of a personal experience that I haven't had, so I have absolutely no reason to believe it.

Did you think about other explanations for what you took to be spirits? The simplest answer is normally the correct one.

I would recommend you contact James Van Praagh. I have a few books by him. He sounds respectable. I hope he's still alive...
Maybe you can find some evidence there. I don't know. In Brazil there are a lot of places to go for evidence. In the USA, I don't know. I've not looked when I went there.

Of course, I only look for evidence when the person is not charging fees . Entrance fees, etc, usually mean Hoax.
