This is the student film wich me including two friends did under our last days in High School in Sweden, 2005. Keep in mind that we don't come from a background in filmmaking nor do we own the right equipment or money to make something with more quality and we did not have the time to make a film with dialogues.

This was basicly just something we did to see how much visual you can be in a film with no speech. Now, two years later... We understand very much that making a movie under time pressure and with NO budget is a scary process. Besides, we ran through almost three diffrent storyboards until we decided to settle with this story.

The inspiration for this movie is mainly from the very good tv-show, Millenium but also from all the Marilyn Manson music videos we watched as kids and of course, probably the best horror video game ever made, Silent Hill 2.

The muscial bits are from Silent Hill, with some soundfragment from "The Ring". The credit music is by the way something we did ourself.

The plot it self is nothing we are proud of, nor do we think that it turned out great, but who cares? It was fun to do and we learnt alot from it by doing it!

Much credit goes to Brodde aka "Weirdbeats" sacrificing himself in a black t-shirt in the middle of march in one of the most coldest places on earth, Sweden... Well, sort of...

THIS IS ONLY A FAN/STUDENT FILM AND IS NOT MEANT TO BE USED COMMERCIALLY BUT JUST FOR FUN AND FAN USE. WE DID NOT MAKE ANY MONEY FOR THIS MOVIE AND WE DON'T INTEND TO DO ANY EITHER. EVERYTHING, SHOWN IN THIS FILM THAT WE DID NOT CREATE BELONGS TO IT'S RESPECTIVE OWNERS.

  • Mind Rewind is all edited in Sony Video Vegas 5. But when it comes to the coloring I don't remember what type of filter we used. Now thinking about I don't think we used any filters at all. We toned down the colors alot, making it almost Black & White and added alot of grain to both make it feel dirty and to take away all the glitches that appear when you are using cheap digital videocameras.

  • Really liked this video. Akira's music is always great for films like this. I like how it was shot too. Very David Lynch. The shaky head take is always a plus as well. Jacob's Ladder works its influence again!

  • nice man really creative, the idea of being stuck in a bad dream in a loop sequence is scary lol i've even had nightmares like that before lol :/

  • Well made! You might want to re-upload it in a higher quality, though.

  • i think its better that you guys put no dialog it makes it more you know ehm poetetic

  • It's pretty simple. We just shot the scene as usual and then we got him to slowly turn his head from side to side, up and down. Later in post-production, we played the scene almost triple the speed and adding a plain motion blur to it.

  • Very nice. You and your friends should make a sequel, or another film at lest, you have some talent, especially consideringt htat your equipment wasnt great.

  • he probboly noticed how cold it had really been and fainted of fear or died of hypothermia
