Victor & The Spoils - All I Ask

I can't get enough of this one. Written by Don Ciccone of the Critters, arranged by Jimmy (The Wiz) Wisner, and produced by Bo Gentry, how was this not a monster hit?? Who is the group performing on this record?? Anyone have info on this group?? This is a freaking killer record, in my top 100 favorites for sure. Don't ask what the other 99 are, i have no idea. They had only 2 releases and the B side of this was an instrumental, but still, what a cool song this is! I love it! Is the instrumental just the backing track?

The instrumental is a different tune entirely, unfortunately. I would've loved it if it was the backing track because the backing track is just killer!

The Videls did this great tune as well, I think it was under the Tradewinds or Innocence name....it's a softer version.

The lyrical content reminds me of Bobby Vee's early sixties recordings, I like this song a lot.

I gave a listen to the Innocence version.... and i still like this Victor & the Spoils version better.... i guess those who heard the Innocence first would like it more, people tend to prefer the first versions of songs they've heard.

I'm starting to like this one a little more....almost a wall of sound backing on this version.

Plus, that's a great band name!
