My second attempt on San Gorgonio VIA Jepson Peak's North Face. We turned home on day 2 due to whiteout at or above 10,000ft. Weather was mild, probably in the teens to twenty degree range with snow falling at around an inch an hour at our camp at 9,070ft. Better luck next time.

  • you sound a lil more exausted through the time of the video.

  • I hadn't slept in 27 or so hours by the time we got to the camp. Also having not been above 1,000ft in elevation for a month and change, the 7 mile hike up to 9,070ft left me more tired than it normally would have, had I been at altitude more often.

  • pretty kool

  • Thanks!

  • Ah good! Well, since you waited, the conditions should be better. Bring crampons and ice axe etc, and you should be ready. It should be icy covering about 6-10in of halfway-consolidated dry powder! Best of luck and have fun!

  • oops, i meant the 15th - lol

  • Have fun! Hopefully it's good to go then! (That is, yesterday, since today is the 11th)

  • Nice. We are doing this hike this weekend DEC 10th 2007 - thanks for the trail report!

  • Thanks ES! Better stuff coming up soon.
