Hanka Ordonówna sings Zarah Leander (A waltz !...)

For the first day of the New Year 2009 I propose a "meeting" of two outstanding singing stars and actresses of 1930's in the triple (3/4) time: Polish - Hanka Ordonówna and German of Swedish origin - Zarah Leander in the song that they both had been performing and recorded: "Eine Frau von Heut'", here in Polish version as "Każda z pań modern..." (Each of modern ladies).

Music was composed by a great musician, Ralph Benatzky. Polish translation of the musical comedy "Axel an der Himmelstür" as "Jaś u raju bram" (Johnny at the gate of heaven) and lyrics of the songs was made by Marian Hemar (not Julian Tuwim as it may be found on YT !) with one exception: lyrics to the present song were written by the husband of the Polish star - Count Michał Tyszkiewicz.
The musical had its premiere in the theatre "Cyrulik warszawski", Warsaw, on September 6th, 1937. Hanka Ordonówna was offered a main role after she had returned then from her concerts in Berlin, in "Wintergarten" theatre and a great turnée through the biggest German towns, together with a Parnell ballet group, which ended in a great success of the Polish soloists.

No to słuchaliśmy tej audycji..."razem". Faktycznie była ciekawa.

A ...w tym momencie wielka "La Boheme"; oczywiście Radiowa Dwójka (z podglądem ...w komputer !).
