New EU - Amendment Bill for the EU Lisbon Treaty

Anthony Coughlan (National Platform - EU Research and Information Centre) discusses how the Irish Amendment Bill for the Lisbon Treaty that will be voted on in June states clear as day that it will end the Irish constitution and we will be entering a new EU established by the Lisbon Treaty. Anthony Coughlan also highlights that Irish Laws of the Irish Constitution are powerless against EU laws, and how the Lisbon Treaty will be grabbing more areas of these powers. The word communities is also being drop making way for the create of the new EU which would have the legal personality of a federal state similar to the U.S.A.

"The State may ratify the Treaty of Lisbon signed at Lisbon on the 13th day of December 2007, and may be a member of the European Union established by virtue of that Treaty.
No provision of this [Irish] Constitution invalidates laws enacted, acts done or measures adopted by the State that are necessitated by membership of the European Union, or prevents laws enacted, acts done or measures adopted by the said European Union or by institutions thereof, or by bodies competent under the treaties referred to in this section, from having the force of law in the State [Ireland]."

EU laws that exist are superior to Irish Laws. There are Irish Laws concerning certain areas were there are no EU laws, however the Lisbon Treaty give the EU the authority to create laws in over 60 new areas. The new laws in new areas would be superior to national Laws. It's a massive power grab by the EU. Do you understand?

Obviously you are not talking about the phrase by which a new European Union will be established by the Lisbon Treaty, but the phrase: "no provisions of the Irish Constitution can prevent..." (29.4.10). It is not the exact phrase, there is one major change, the word communities is being dropped. (29.4.4) Maastricht (1992) refers to a European Union Treaty which is defined as a community even if they call it by another name....

why? well the irish govt is trying to give itself retroactive immunity from prosecution for illegal "acts done" by continuing to implement the lisbon treaty without waiting for the referendum to pass. the piece about EURATOM will allow eu power plants or silos for defence that the irish people dont want.

since 2008 the eu continued to pass laws as if the treaty has passed. the irish govt is looking for immunity for its treason.

now if u look at the differences between june 2008 amendment and the 2009 amendment to constitution ( u can find in your voting slip or on wikipedia ) you will notice they revised the statement to:

"No provision of this Constitution invalidates laws enacted, acts done or measures adopted by the State, BEFORE, on or after the entry into force of the Treaty of Lisbon..."
