Adywans Empire Strikes Back Revisited - New 1 Minute Hoth Battle Clip

Ok here it is. there are 3 shots incomplete (the one with the rebels setting up in the trench that has the smoking background before the battle even begins & the last 2 shots need the lasers done). There's probably one shot that some may think "why did he change that?" but Adywan will explain if that crops up later. Plus it only got a temp audio track...

This is sadly one of the few badass moments for the Imperial Army. At least the Tie Fighter pilots had better aim than Stormtroopers.

@TheHeroofShadows000: Precisely! That is why I HATED that ending. It made no sense. It was an empty, forced, contrived moral pose. Luke literally kills 1,000s in the course of these movies. How many were on that 1st death star after all? How many died w/ Jobba the Hut? but here now, it is somehow unonscionable to kill the man who is centrally responsible for this war? I hope I haven't ruined the movie for you.

@VictorLepanto Redeeming your father is a good moral goal, but you also present a good point. The Emperor is right in front of you, you could end this now, go for it. I'll admit, I would've done that if I was in Luke's shoes. I mean, Vader has already been disabled, he lost his Lightsaber and his hand, I still have both of mine, he can't hurt anyone. The Emperor should be stopped.

@TheHeroofShadows000: That is what I said, Lucas was more involved ROTJ, & he screwed it up. "The rest of the script." So, my perception of this bad ending is precisely his fault. The movie does start out well. I can't see how Adywan can fix the whole throne room scene w/o a dramatic re-editing. Perhaps if Luke holds back killing the emperor in hopes that Vader will turn, but that has moral problems as well. By delaying, Luke allows more troops to die in battle.
